Quiet afternoon?

It somehow doesn't feel like Wednesday, oh well. It feels like I've time travelled and it's still Monday.

Was browsing through Tumblr dashboard and I'm still amazed how well the posts express my feelings.
One of the things that I strongly believe is that you choose your own path. True that your broken family, your ex, your pet that passed away, your abusive parents etc may have affected you but can you blame it on those incidents forever if you don't lead a successful life? Or even worse, doing drugs? You're on your own, those who lead a decent life may not have a perfect life. There's surely imperfection but they choose to make it all better by choosing the right path.

Breathe this in. And make the right choice.

Faith

Chinese New Year was over a few days ago, and this year, it was bittersweet indeed. As far as I'm concerned, it's to reunite the loved ones (family/lovers/friends) and show your love towards others, be it strangers or someone you know.

The sweet part was it indeed brought the family closer; The bitter part? Great grandma was admitted to hospital.

I'm not hoping for immortality, but I'm just not ready to lose her. Not yet.

It's been quite sometime now, and I'm glad God answered my prayers and gave her many, many more days. I can't be more thankful about that! But I admit there are times I can't get over it, and I keep it to myself, 'cause no one truly understands anyway.

Until I saw this video about a little boy, Logan, sharing that one thing God told him. Watch the video here

"My son is special, but he died for a purpose."

When you lose your loved one or your pet, remember that God gave his son too.

Moving on, was reading Katrina's blog and woaaaahhhh, someone's got a free hug hotline! HAHA. That's so adorable. =3

On a bleak note, was walking at the corridor at my apartment and found the 92874827482th uncivilised person who POURED water from upstairs and THREW THE BOTTLE DOWN after that. Learn your manners!

Encouragement

Saw this on Tumblr while reblogging posts and thought it would be nice to encourage anyone at all. :D

Well, I do know how it feels like to doubt yourself if you're ever good enough for anyone/anything, and because of people close to me, they made me believe that if I did my best, it would be enough. I have a bad habit of belittling my efforts and used to spend hours and hours feeling guilty that I didn't do enough. In the end, I learnt to let it go. Rest assured, it would be the greatest thing you'd learn and it will save all the time you waste being upset over something that you can't change, and use it to focus on positive things.

New read

Went to Big Bad Wolf book fair last December and they have amazing books at reasonably cheap price.
(Hint: to those of you who missed it, there's gonna be a aftermath sale from 28th Feb onwards! )

I've finished reading 1001 Ways To Do Good and impressed with it. It provides relevant information and links which we can access pretty easily. The 1001 ways are little things we can do in daily routine. Why not? If you can make someone's day a little brighter by doing good deeds :)

Am currently reading The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom. It's got to be one of my favourite books mainly because it gives me a different perspective about...well, heaven. Instead of what we always heard; colourful gardens where you can chill out peacefully with the ceased and look at people on Earth amusingly (perhaps worriedly) and etc. It gives a really vague idea. However, I'm not saying this book gives a REALISTIC idea but it does teach me a couple of life lessons. I love books I can relate to and I can gain more knowledge or realisation.

Grab the book if you get a chance to! :D

Here's a photo of my favourite paragraph in that book.
